There is, no doubt, a special place in my heart for a warm Pumpkin Spice Latte. However, I much prefer to drink tea on a daily basis. I make this super simple Chair Latte almost everyday! It is incredible fast and easy to make and rivals any big time coffee chain. Better yet, it is sugar free and low carb! If you’re as big of a chai fan as I am, you will be saying “Oh, sweet chai of mine” when you try this quick recipe!
What you will need:
6-8 ounces of the milk of your choosing (Almond or coconut milk work great! If you are keto and making this a high fat snack, this is the perfect place for heavy cream.)
3-6 drops liquid stevia
8-12 ounces water
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: Sprinkle of cinnamon
Depending on the size of your mug, the amounts of water, stevia, and milk will differ. Boil your water. Steep your tea. I steep mine for a few extra minutes to be sure it is very flavorful. Add your stevia and vanilla to your tea. Using a mason jar or vessel that seals completely, heat up the milk for about 1 minute in the microwave. You do not want to boil it, just take the chill of so that is does not cool down your tea. Secure the lid to your mason jar and shake your milk until it forms bubbles. Pour your milk into your tea and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy your super fast, sugar free, chai tea latte!
